The Confidence Gap: Get Ready to Crush It!Oct 12, 2016
Part of my personal philosophy on life is that it’s important to work your butt off and to pay attention to the universe. Shocker: I’m driven and task oriented, sometimes (a lot of the time) hard on myself and have a high need for achievement. I could probably crap out a diamond on command. In fact, I know I could – just tell me how many carats you want. Oh yeah...and I’m ‘sort of’ a control freak. I’ve also learned – and constantly have to relearn – that I’m not actually in control. The universe has a plan and a timeline I am not privy to. It will never unveil the whole thing to me, nor will it send me an email or calendar request with the details. I have to keep my eyes, ears, gut and heart open to the little clues it puts in my path.
While I’ve been working on the resiliency content, I’ve been getting (and ignoring) clues from the universe that I should also be tapping into my intense passion around women, confidence, empowerment and pushing limits. After over a year of signals, nudges, “coincidences”, whispers and finally shouts and smacks to the head, I’ve finally listened. And never in my life have I been so fired up about a project.
In addition to resiliency, we are now offering content around confidence and empowerment.
And when I say “we”, I am talking about me and I am talking about YOU. While I’m often described as a confident person, I wouldn’t dare to profess to be an “expert” in it. But I am insanely curious about it. There is no one definition for it. There is no one-size-fits-all formula. It changes. What makes one person feel confident makes another doubt themselves like crazy. It is completely individual. I don’t have all the answers, but together we do.
Actually, I have some answers. I can’t just show up to this thing empty handed, right? After a lot of research, reflection and interviews of confident women, I’ve put together a corporate program I’m wild about bringing forth. It’s called Crushing The Confidence Gap: Four Ways for Women to Make the Leap.
What’s different about this is that instead of me standing on a stage and delivering content TO you, this is about us having a conversation TOGETHER. It’s a collaboration. As a group. A group of highly intelligent, wise, experienced women with questions and answers who are looking to take things to the next level. There will be a lot of discussion. There will be a lot of reflection. And there will be a bold action plan. Or maybe it will be a compassionate action plan - it depends on what you need to build your confidence and sense of personal power. This will make you a stronger leader, a bold decision maker, help you gain clarity and embolden you to push through times of challenge.
I’ll be sharing more about this new adventure in the upcoming weeks. Get ready!
